An Industry based mod for minecraft. Start thinking of ideas for what you want to do now ;)

That looks awesome! Does it have industrial craft and stuff built into it?

Yeah, it will mean downloading a different client but that shouldn't be an issue, I will post instructions when I make the change

Sent from my phone (Excuse my spelling/grammar)

Will this new client overwrite the vanilla one, or will it be a completely separate app?

It is a completly seperate App although I believe that it has the vanilla client integrated into it as a selectable option so you wouldnt need the vanilla app any more.

That's good to know, thanks.

I am going to call my palace finished. Yay! Shame it didn't have longer in its complete form, but hey ho.

I have taken screenshots for posterity, but could I please please have the world as a zip file so that I can revisit it in single player at a later date? I have emptied my inventory into boxes (and I advise anyone else wanting to play it in SP to do the same before Lee archives it - you lose anything you had when you start it up again).

I wouldn't mind having the previous world as well, actually (the one we started for Beta 1.8, with Kawamura and Booty Bay etc in it ), if that's not too big a file.

Other than that - I am happy for you to reset the world whenever you're ready. Bye bye New Levelton...

The previous world is gone, I was under the impressions I had already made it available for download for a while and then deleted the file.

The current world is available for download @ www.level10.org/downloads/MC-Level10-1.2.5.zip

The New World will be put in place in a couple of days. Until then I would advise installing the tekkit launcher and making sure that it works for you.

Great, got it thank you!

And no, you didn't make the old one available for download - you just said it was safe and archived, and I never got round to enquiring any further into it than that. Ah well.

Could you possibly provide a link for the new client - I have looked around the Tekkit wiki and can't find any obvious links to download it.

Edit: Phew! That was... challenging. It spawned me somewhere miles away in the middle of the night. I finally stumbled upon Jack's Snow Fort with 3 food and 3 health. Thanks for leaving those apples in your box! :P

You want the latest version of the launcher.

Okay so the TEKKIT server is currently set up on

level10.org:444

so you have something to connect to in order to test that your new client is working, the old world is still on level10.org:443 for a few days so people can go and take a look around it if they want.

So. Progress update from my end:

After downloading the exe and starting it up (took a while), I logged in first time to get the message 'update failed'. This was happening on any of the mod packs I selected. Closed the launcher and tried again, and it worked for Tekkit, downloading a whole load of stuff for about 5 mins. Then it started the Tekkit client, which looks just like normal minecraft. So far, so good.

However, when I entered the details for the test server, I got the message 'this server requires you to have the NetherOres and Railcraft mods.' and let me go no further. Having noticed a couple of the downloads seemed to have failed,
I closed it again and restarted the launcher. After a brief hiccup in minecraft.net being unreachable, I restarted the launcher again and found that it prompted me to update Tekkit, which I did.
It ran the client again, and I tried to log into the server - it apparently allowed me to this time, only the client then immediately closed.
Restart 5 gave me no go on MC.net again, and restart 6 hung on the 'technic launcher' logo for AGES, but finally I was able to log in to the server. Yay!

So, I can get on, but it wants to fight me, apparently. Hopefully it will be easier now that it's got all its downloads done....

Also: I can has area map on the GUI?? First cool thing. :)

Yeah, took me a few attempts to get it working too, like you say, mostly its just a process of restarting the launcher repeatedly.

Cool thing #2 Recipie book in your inventory screen (If you have admin then this is the way you spawn stuff into your inventory too)
