i dont understand the whole guitar hero/ rock band tihng personally. if you going to practice as much as some of the loosers on you tube why dont you just learn a proper instrument.

This is what my brother said...

We got Rock Band 2 on Monday. It is ace. You put in the RB1 disc and transfer the songs to RB2 and now have loads of songs. The band world tour is better now as well.

No idea why it's better, but it apparently is.

Fair enough, it's not to everyone's taste.

I find how you play it really depends on what enjoyment you derive from the game.

I find it a great group activity that doesn't require much expertise or talent. It doesn't matter if you mess up, it's just a bit of fun. We had fun with it in Devon, and I even happily embarrassed myself on lead vocals, just because it was a giggle. :)

If your enjoyment of it happens to be playing it for hours until you get perfect scores on the hardest levels, then fair enough, but I don't really see how this obsessive style of play is different from any other computer game. At the end of the day, it's a musical computer game designed for gamers, not musicians.
