Hi,

You guys seem to try a lot of different RPG's and I am looking for a new RPG.

Its Fantasy based swords and sorcery with an emphasis on the heroic.

I am currently considering Midnight as it seems to add more uniqueness to 3.5 D&D.

But theres probably something better. The setting doesnt need to be all that tho it would allow me to fall back on it more for depth if it was any good. I would say I am looking for something simple but elegant would be a better word.

Any recommendations?

It depends on the feeling you're looking for - Midnight is fairly low-magic, as is Burning Wheel or the Conan RPG. If you're looking for something with more emphasis on magic, Pathfinder is a good d20 variant with a well-established setting.

Yes- that's correct. I think the setting would suit your requirements quite nicely.

Old runequest 3rd edition is a winner. I think its 3rd edition im thinking of, ignore newere versions because there just not the same.

traditional runequest starts off a slower than d&d but plenty of magic and a good setting. Can as real or as fantasy as you want to it be.

If not to your fancy theres always warhammer fantasy, i know its fairly mainstream but its a good world and simple system, good magic and can be very gritty. Especially when you add critical hits to combat

i can go on if you have any questions
