All survivors get xp for healing other survivors, and attacking zombies. Your best bet is to find a friendly hospital, where they run a policy of pointing out the injured folk to players without the diagnose skill; or to find a police station or shopping mall where you can scavenge for guns and ammo and go shootin'.

I've settled on a fireman (no need to find ammo etc), and i'm going for a bit of the old hit-and-run tactics, making sure i can get back to a safe place to stay. Whilst i build up the xp.

I am after some advice though. Is it better to increase my attack skill, or go for free running at my first level up? I can't work out just how useful is free running? Also just to be clear - if i want to get into a heavily barricaded building, will it bypass this - or only if i step in from another building next to it?

Free running is very much worth having to increase your survivability - it won't let you get through heavy barricades from the street though - only in building-to-building travel.

I think everyone is in Stanbury Village.
I come and go so as to avoid the penalty for two characters being on the same IP...

I'll try to come on over and join the party, if you've got room for one more.

We'll be pleased to see you :)

No limit to the number of peeps in a building anyway, as far as I know. Be prepared though, it's often a zombie infested hell-hole down here... :o

i'll be coming from the south - so what's the best entry point for GVHQ?

Heh - we got overrun last night, so I'm currently a couple of districts away sleeping off the zombie virus...

The entry point is Allsop Arms, 1 north of the main HQ (Heard Building, as mentioned), which is generally kept at Very Strongly Barricaded (VSB). There is a handy police station, 1 south west, for ammo etc. Also a handy hospital, 2 north, 1 west.

Well, they're handy when they're not ruined and full of zombies anyway. ;) Do tread carefully when you arrive, we might not have taken the area back yet...

Thanks for the info.

i stopped on the way to pick up a few fak's - and stumbled across a bit of a crisis, which my good natured self got caught up in, using all the fak's i'd collected etc. You know how it goes.

I'll finish doing what i can then move on up to you guys - the very new cavalry is on it's way!!! - relatively slowly (and relatively ineffective when it gets tere too so don't hold your breath  )

Welcome to the nightmare that is holding the Heard Building! ;)

I've added "TGV" to "mcnuckles" in the groups bit - i hope you guys don't mind.

There was a zed outside the heard building which i've killed, and i've got the generator running in the police station as well.

But aside from all this - why the Coventry have you guys set up base here???? It's got to be one of the most dangerous places on the map????? Or has it got to the stage where you're now just doing it for the Coventry of it???
