I've PMed Steve and he is going to contact Heresy to see about placing a trade order. Hopefully it won't take him too long to find out so get busy with your shopping list :)

Steve has been really busy so has asked me to contact Heresy on his behalf. An email was sent this morning to find out about trade discounts and order quantities so I will make sure to keep those of you interested in ordering Heresy minis up to date.

In other news, since I'm enjoying this current campaign rather a lot and we have had some problems lately with late start times and people being unable to make some sessions, I was wondering if people would be up for a big session some time to make up for lost time?

Perhaps one Saturday or Sunday or even a late Friday night at the shop? I will check with Steve if we would be able to use the club rooms out of hours.

I've looked at the Heresy minis, and unfortunately you've already pinched the one that would fit my character best (though I may get it anyway and paint it up differently)

As for a weekend 'catchup' session, I'd be up for it so long as it isn't this weekend or next - I've got prior engagements that I can't avoid.

If your character could become more awesome, how would you like it to be done?
I have rules available for the following paths to awesomeness:
  • Vampirism
  • Lycanthropy
  • Cybernetic enhancement
  • Psionic awakening
  • Mutation
  • Mecha pilot
  • ...plus all the usual stuff from d20 modern

Either post here what you're after, or PM me if you want to discuss it privately.

PS: Bearded Pete - you've already got your awesomeness path. More than one would be greedy while the rest of the team are normals.

I was all ready to say "all of the above"...

Until I read this - no fair!

Oh well, I can wait for my next helping of awesomeness until the rest have caught up ;)

You can't be a vampire werewolf cyborg mutant - undead can't be mutants or cyborgs or werewolves, nor can werewolves be cyborgs (shapeshifting precludes it), and lycanthropy is effectively a super-mutation, anyway.

Awesome!

Cybernetic Lycanthrope FTW!

:P

(Only kidding, Alastair already knows what I want to happen to Erica, and it's far more sensible (???) than that!)

I disagree that werewolves can't be vampires, at least under the D&D rules:
SRD wrote:
“Lycanthrope” is a template that can be added to any humanoid or giant ... The base creature’s type does not change, but the creature gains the shapechanger subtype.
SRD wrote:
“Vampire” is an acquired template that can be added to any humanoid or monstrous humanoid creature ... The creature’s type changes to undead (augmented humanoid or monstrous humanoid).

There is nothing else listed which precludes the combination of vampire and werewolf.

Also, mutant vampire seems possible to me so long as the mutation is gained prior to undeath and does not cause immunity to becoming undead. Ditto for mutant lycanthrope, what if a mutant was bitten by a lycanthrope and became afflicted? But having said that - what would happen in terms of mutation if a vampire or lycanthrope was exposed to gene-damaging radiation? A lycanthrope certainly is still alive and growing new cells so a mutation should be possible.

I don't know enough about the cybernetics rules to understand why undead cannot have cybernetic implants but I imagine it might be something to do with being unable to power the implants from a dead body - what about internal power sources or wetware? I can imagine that cybernetics wouldn't like to be put into a lycnathrope due to the constantly shifting body shape.

I should point out finally that I don't really want a mutated vampiric shapechanging psionic cyborg librarian mage, I'm just avoiding doing work.

Yes, cybernetics are rejected by shapeshifters and simply fail in undead. I rule that the undead replaces humanoid, and that any templates are lost if that's not compatible.
Besides, we're NOT using SRD vampires and werewolves, remember?

Anyway - does anyone (aside from Beardy) want to let me know what sort of changes they'd like to make to enhance their character?

As this thread has become slightly diluted from character write ups should we have a separate thread for discussion and write-ups like Gaultria?
