Right so before this went all ecw it was a general thread for my inability to focus on one thing. The two latest installments highlight my problem nicely.
Firstly 'project J' which we picked up at salute and got ready in a month for a club night. The game is Jugula by gripping beast and it's fabulous; amazingly tactical but simple mechanics. Plus having painted 5 35mm figs don't really need much/any more

Part 2 is a longer term problem. Next May/June we are refighting part of Leipzig, the largest Napoleonic battle...in 28mm. Having bought the bulk of my force at salute I have 410 infantry to paint... This is test battalion 1 (although we're actually paimting as regiments) and after much deliberation went white primer as the trousers and cross-belts are white. At over 1 a day required speed will be order of the day.

The invite and details will be coming. I am currently trying to get something resembling organisation for the laggers at my club before I know where we're at on numbers.

Don't worry, there's a spot for you, I was just trying to actually sort out the locals so I have an idea of how many on each side etc etc. I'm not sure some of them have grasped the logistics of knocking out a 28mm Napoleonic force in a year, for a game where one person fluffing their contribution will knock on to everyone, but that's my autocratic organisational demons emerging I suspect...

We're looking at 24 man units (makes it a little more manageable), 1813 campaign, probably part of Leipzig. This is a wargames police free zone. If I painted the wrong colour cuffs on a unit, so be it... Anyway, like I say, I'll pass on details soon.

There's a "sprue sale" on at Warlord if that's any use?

I've been eyeing those new figures too. I don't really need much more in terms of numbers but they've got a nice mix of hats etc which will suit the marie-louise conscripts. You can do it with the perrys but have to do head swaps which is much more time consuming.

Also worth noting a 25% off sale at Victrix on their plastic box sets. Superb for napoleonics and ancient greeks. 29p a figure, a shade cheaper than gw plastics...

Ok. Would it be ok to set a game target please ? Small game end of June. Gives me time to read up and paint :-)

Possibly a 4 way ? Sir Thomas and I against the mighty Bo and Ragnar.

Small forces recommended are;

1 officer
12 pike with command
2 units of 8 musketeers
6 cavalry
6 fire locks

Also did anyone else have trouble with the plastic warlord cavalry ? All mine have gaps at the bottom of the neck.

Don't recall a horse issue, but been a while.
End of June should be ok.
What basing are you doing for muskets, i.e. frontage? If you can muster another 6 horse or foote unit between you you'll get a much fuller game. That lot might break very quickly.
