I've always loved the fluff behind it and actually read several of the novels. The PC games have never really been that good though and I've tried a few. There's a good one in there somewhere I'm sure

Battle tech is supposed to be very very good. Never played it but only heard great things about it.

Wow haven't played in many many years...
I backed the kickstarter and looking forward to playing on PC.
It even got me to pull out the intro starter set I bought a while ago and then play a few intro games with the wife and kids (not got round to full rules with them) :)

It's a great game. Brilliant with more than a couple of mech's but over 4 each used to be a bit long in play time.

Basically you have terrain, custom built mech's, location hits, critical hits, heat management....Its giant robots... giant robots... you can then expand with tanks, infantry, aerospace... but hey Mech's is where it was at. hmmmm gotta get this back to the table again!

Hey that'd be fun. Would need to brush up on the rules again as haven't played since December...

Soz. for the late response. Been a bit out of boardgaming for a while due to work/life/baby... excuse... excuse...

Aiming to find a way to get to the club again and start playing some games more regularly...

Another aim is to get past my fear of miniatures this year...
