I've been inspired by the guy who wrote Frostgrave, it's a simple but well presented game that fills a niche that he could see and does it very well. It's not the deepest of games and needs help from the campaign side to give it legs IMO but it's really well put together.
Anyway, I've spent a lot of the xmas break writing up the wargame rules I've been tinkering with for a while. I've got to add a lot of the fluff but I think the core is there so I'm actually putting a decent amount of effort into finishing it! There's even a website:
http://www.curseofbones.com/One thing I'm going to need is a decent spread of playtesting, I'll be able to supply the armies (or the army list and a list of the troops that I've got available so you can make your own force up). It's already apparent after a single game that there are lots of edge cases that need catching and there's nothing like an actual game to start raising them!
There are two variants, quick battles (~1 hour) on a 2'x2' table or bigger battles on 6'x4'. I'd prefer to stick with the smaller battles initially but let me know if anyone is interested in helping out.
