Hi All,

I am the bearer of some very exciting news for you all!

There is going to be a new gaming store and venue opening here in Daventry.

Battlefield Hobbies will be opening for business in November. Located in Brunel close, we will be a store and venue created by gamers to deliver the gaming experience that we believe the community want and deserve.

We have created a Kickstarter that will allow us to finish the gaming area with super cool addons.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/15 ... r/comments

The shop and gaming facility will be opening irrespective of the Kickstarter, however if you do wish to help make this exciting new place something we can all truly be proud of, please do pledge your support.

Any questions at all, just ask me!

Jack

On your campaign you list stretch goals as...

£3,300 = Wireless Repeaters throughout to provide Internet (£300).

    £3,600 = Rentable Lockers (£300).

    £3,900 = Games library (£300).

    £4,200 = Coffee machine (£300).

This leaves me wondering what the first 3,000 is going to be used for, your campaign says "IT support, theming of the venue, refreshments and the provision of lockers." Arent all of those things provided by the stretch goals?

Well this is good / exciting news. Looking forward to checking this out.

In answer to Lee, I presume that will cover the required stuff, things and miscellany.

The initial £3000 will allow for us to further enhance the planned gaming space. The funds, if succesfully achieved will go towards;

Television Screens, for use during events and tournaments to display information
Installing a premium carpet in the gaming space
Upgrading the electric heating to central heating
Fridges and the supplies for offering a broad range of refreshments.

As for the lockers, we currently have planned for installing storage cupboards in the venue. If the stretch goal is achieved, we will add a secure lockers as an enhancement to the cupboards.

Just a heads up, we are currently in conversations with the new shop about moving to their premises, provided they have the space to accommodate us. I'll keep you informed :)

Makes perfect sense to me. The Phoenix club offers little/nothing in the way of space or scenery for large tabletop games, so surely a custom gaming venue will be better for such activities?

I don't know how many of you have now liked the FB Page, however we have today published some renders of the retail and demo area.

The demo table will be a 6x4 table and is completely seperate from the main gaming area of the building
