Good morning all,

Just a quick hello to introduce myself. My name's Neil, I moved down to Banbury recently for work and I'm looking for a regular gaming night to get involved with.

I've played a lot of random board games before with my old uni friends from Manchester (Battlestar is our current favourite, although GoT is a really good way to spend a few hours, too) but I'm looking to move into something a bit more RPG-ey if possible. My GF and I have been binge-watching Critical Role online recently and that looks like a heck of a lot of fun. I played a bit of Numenera shortly after moving here, but that was all the way in Tamworth which is far too distant to drive every week! Really enjoyable though - would definitely recommend Numenera to any RPG fans.

I'd like to start coming in the New Year (I guess December isn't the best time to start any new time commitments!) so I'll see you all at Battlefield Hobbies, hopefully!

Great to have a new member. Yes, we begin at Battlefield from 6th Jan. There is a regular roleplay group that get together fortnightly, and we play a random selection of boardgames each week.

See you next year :)

Thanks guys :) I'm really looking forward to starting. I've got a couple of Warhammer sets too for tabletopping - but I got them because I loved the models rather than an attraction to the game so I've never actually played it. Not beyond the half-hour Age Of Sigmar demo session I went to when picking them up, anyway. Keen to learn, though!

About the roleplay group - are they willing/able to accommodate a new player? I know sometimes it can be difficult to add to the party midway through a campaign. And what sort of RPGs do they play? DnD 4e/5e/etc?

Thanks again guys - see you soon ;)

I would recommend that you message Darrell on here, as he runs the roleplay group.
