As said earlier, I'm more than willing to contribute to the wand - 150gp from everyone will cover the cost just nicely. We will need a concensus though, and not everyone has weighed in on the matter yet.

Indeed, we currenly have 450gp pledged. Come on Chris and Helen - let us know what you think, or do you want us all to die?

Right, so let me get this straight in my head now....

I have 1000 gp of guild credit.

I also have 750 gp from the sale of random loot.

I have a +1 Scimitar that I want to sell.

I want a +1 spiked chain (costs 2000 gp).

Do I in fact have enough to do this? (ie can someone tell me what my Scimitar sells for so I can work out how much total money I have.)

Once I've figured this out, I'll be able to say how much I can donate to the wand of CLW fund.

+1 scimitar cost = 1315gp, so should sell for 657.5gp (I'm sure sale prices are 50% book prices - is that right?)

So you have 1000+750+657.5=2407.5gp
Minus chains = 407.5gp
Minus 1/5 wand = 257.5gp

The scimitar will sell for 1400gp (slightly more than usual, as you're in the good books of the local High Priest).
(Beardy, you're way out. For some reason you seem to have halved the value of the scimitar twice.)
That gives you 1000gp credit, 1400gp cash, 750gp loot = 3150gp
The spiked chain +1 actually costs 2325gp (including the cost of the masterwork chain).

That leaves Eleanor with 825gp to spend.

Yeah, I just realised (and was coming back to correct) that I had the +1 value at 1000 instead of 2000. I think I was thinking about armour rather than weapons when I worked it out :/

Cool - thanks guys (I suck at this sort of book keeping :? ).

Eleanor will be happy to donate the remaining 300 gp needed for the wand, if necessary.

That still leaves me 525 gp to put in my savings for some better armour or magical protection in the future. Woohoo!

Seeing as Chris has 100gp from creation, plus his 1000gp credit and 750gp loot, and doesn't want to buy more than a silvered kama I think it might be safe to assume he can spare 150gp towards the wand, but we can double check that tonight. Either way I think we can safely say that we have the wand now!

The bestest thing about using a wand instead of a cleric is that there's more than one of us in the party that can use it, in case our cleric gets a bit too enthusiastic and falls over.

I've got some cash left over, so if for some reason Chris won't/can't contribute to the happy-stick, I'm happy to put in a bit extra.
