96,801 copper pennies (968.01 gp)
542 gold crowns (542 gp)

GEMS
orange opaque gemstone (100 gp)
violet clear gemstone (515gp)

POTIONS
potion of cure light wounds (50 gp)
potion of jump (50 gp)

MISCELLANEOUS
"Firebrand" alchemical liquor - strong drink grants Bull's Strength + chance of nausea

Additionally, on arriving at Inverfief (see below), the Priest MacRoss uses his influence to ensure that you get 1000 gp of credit from the Scholars' Guild, to spend on magical equipment and consumables.
"The folk you saved are poor, and can't reward you like you deserve," he says.

Loaded with treasure, flushed with success, the heroes were well received by the locals at the inn, and there was much rejoicing. Travelling on after their triumph at Castle Kintear, the Vampire Slayers arrived by stagecoach at the great city of Inverfief.
Glen Aberfief is steep sided and gloaming - the tall snow-topped mountains cast shadows over the silvery lake and the hilly town. Inverfief is built around the bridges at the end of the Lough Aberfief where the river runs away to the plains of Hyl. The granite walls loom over the Lough, and the city bustles with life. Thatched rooves lean close on narrow streets, sheep are herded along the wide Market Road, and the Thane of Fief looks down from his Castle on his subjects. Like all of Gaultria, this highland city is preparing for the Feasts of Midsummer - the seven day holiday of drinking, revelling, music and dancing in through the long evenings. Colourful bunting and streamers line the streets, and bands of musicians practice noisily. Tomorrow, the parties start in earnest.
Here you will find merchants, magicians, artificers, alchemists and all manner of folk wanting to buy and sell wares with you. You are also invited by MacRoss, if you recall, to visit the library and see the sacred texts.

Too long?
Inverfief is a big place by a lake in the mountains, there's going to be a party, you have the chance to buy and sell stuff.

Here's the XP
  • Arminnius: 3978
  • Benedict: 4336
  • Fel: 3822
  • Eleanor: 3822
  • Imad: 4208

After hefting the longsword (anarchic, +1) a few times, Benedict offers it up to the party in case somebody can make better use of it. Eleanor takes it and trades the elven rapier "Ice Dancer" (frost, +1) to him in return.

Out of Character:
I'm pretty sure it's just a frost weapon rather than icy burst.

DM: confirmed - it's Frost. That is, +1d6 cold damage.

Updated the OP with XP and treasure list.

Priority stuff for Eleanor - a +1 spiked chain and some extra AC (ring of protection, amulet of natural armour or something like that).
I am reliably informed that the chain will set me back 2000 gp, so with MacRoss's promise of guild credit, I'm half way there!
Now, where to scrape together the other 1000 from..... :?

In case anyone can't be doing with the maths, selling all of that loot (except the potions and scrolls) will get us 751 Crowns, 9 Shillings and 8 pence each.

There's not a lot that I'm particularly looking for; I'm not nearly magical enough, so I might somehow contrive to employ a magewright or artificer to reinforce my torso (make the chain shirt I'm nominally wearing +1, using the 1000 crowns of guild credit to cover that rather nicely), but aside from a handful of Oils of Repair Light Denting there's nothing that particularly leaps out at me. The upshot of this is that there's a sizeable sum* of gold that could be loaned for large purchases or pooled towards things that would benefit the whole party (like a Cure wand, or whatever)

*600gp, or 400 if I decide to get my chains silvered.

I'm probably going to trade in my scimitar to get the rest of the dosh for my chain, so hopefully no loans will be required.

Therefore, I would say that a wand of cure light wounds would be a very helpful investment to take the healbot pressure off our somewhat enthusiastic battle cleric...

We cast the restoration and lesser restoration spells off the scrolls.

I would like the other two scrolls please if possible couple of useful spells for us if needed for a free cast.

Other thann that I would just like cash please as Imad intends to get tooled up.....

Oh yeah!

That's pretty much why I didn't include the scrolls or potions in the totting-up.
As said above, assuming we sell everything else for the prices listed there (I went slightly off on the flail, assuming it would sell for 1000 instead of 1157 because I forgot about the cost of the masterwork weapon) you'd get 751.9.8gp (783 with the flail adjustment) plus your 1000gp guild credit.

As generous as our DM is, I'd imagine anything in the SRD would be fine to buy, but crazy splatbook nonsense would be frowned upon.

Hmm. I quite fancied a whip that could deal actual damage after a successful trip attack, but I'm not sure how necessary that is. It's also slightly out of reach financially at the moment (about 550gp short). Instead I might get something protective from the Scholars to go with the +1 leather and the +1 bracers. Then keep the cash for later.

Edit: Change of plan, I can't get any 1000gp protective items that I don't already have so I might play to my strengths and pick up some Goggles of Minute Seeing, if the Scholars have such a thing. These have an SRD Price of 1250gp, so applying my 1k credit I'll need to pay 250gp. I'll also pool 150gp from my share of the cash towards a Wand of CLW if everybody else wants to chip in too. Finally I'll be picking up a few necessary mundane items too.

Used for fixing golems and other constructs, Repair X Damage spells are arcane Transmutation spells on the Wizard / Sorcerer spell list, equivalent levels to the Cure X Wounds spells. However, they are rarer than the Cure spells, and so tend to come with a +10% premium for oils and scrolls.

There is nothing that I'm after for my character as far as specialised stuff. Not a stuff oriented character really. I assume I can just purchase a silvered kama and a plain one? I have a bit of spare cash from start up (100 gp) if anybody needs it.

For the purposes of building excitement, will it please our esteemed DM to confirm the date for our return to Gaultria?

Also, nobody has responded to Ninja's suggestion (and my seconding) of us all chipping in 150gp towards a Wand of CLW. If nobody else is interested then I'll be looking to spend this cash on other, equally important stuff. (Like fine clothes, fine liquor and fine women...)

Hi all.

What did we decide in the end?

Shall we purchase a party wand of cure light wounds.

The clerical scrolls dont really have much letf on them so lets sell them and add it to the pot.
