I hopefully I've posted this in the right place if not could a Mod please move it to the correct place.

This is a thread for the group that's participating in my G.O.O (Gaultria One Off). If you need any info just ask in this thread and I'll get back to you.

The game is currently full though so I can't accept any more players, sorry!

    Alastair
    Helen
    Ninja Pete
    Beardy Pete
    Laurence
    Jack
    Chris

This will be an 8th level adventure so if you can post here with the race/class you want to be, I'm pretty much A-OK with any PHB Race/Class so just post your race/class when you've reached a decision. Thanks!

I seem to remember the level was 8th, as discussed in the pub last night?

I have a 6th level ranger/rogue from way back who I could level up. She's a Wood Elf though - is that going to be a problem?

There is one spot open, please post in this thread if you can participate.

Just a quick note as a mod - probably best to keep the "arranging" of this "game" to the "Arrange Games" forum, then you can use this thread for game discussion. This will help other people arranging games for possibly the same date(s) know what is going on and when to avoid room clashes and stuff.

As a normal user I'd also like to suggest putting this in the Arrange Games thread - assuming, of course, that you aren't opening your metaphorical doors to only the Gaultria players.

In any case, I have a few questions about your adventure:

Firstly, when do you see yourself running the adventure? I'm not asking for a solid date, just something along the lines of an expected start month.
Secondly, what is your preferred ability generation method? (e.g. point buy, 2x(4d6 drop lowest), 4d6-drop-lowest-reroll-1s, etc.)
Thirdly, what are your rules for character race/class? PHB only? PHB/DMG (for the Prestige classes)? All 3 core books (to allow extra races & templates)? All 3.5 books?
And finally, if you have a specific area of Mundia you want to start your adventure in, I'd like to know where it is, so I can create a character that reflects the area (e.g. Barbarian for untouched wilderness, Holy Knight for a theocracy, etc)

Please don't feel pressured in any way by these questions - they're just things that would be nice to know on the off chance you've decided.

There is the thread Pete moved, changed and altered in the arrange games section there is a link linking to this thread. This is meant to be for adventure discussion.

To answer Ninja's questions:

-Speaking with Alastair it depends on his Gaultria game and how it goes, I'll say December but I cannot really say for sure yet.

-4D6, re-roll 1s

-Prestige classes are fine. So long as I can look at it I'm cool with it.

-Yes you will be exploring the mountains of Mundia, you will start in the town/village of Al-Herba

I assume that this will be kicking off in the New Year? Any idea when? Currently nothing has been planned beyond wrapping up the Xmas Files on Thursday...

I'll speak about it when we've finished wrapping up the Xmas files.

I plan to be running the d20 Fusion game on January the 8th (three weeks after this Thursday). Depending on when Laurence and Jack plan their d20 game for, that leaves the 15th and 22nd free.

Will D20 Fusion be continuing it's tri-weekly rhythm from then on? If so I'll pop it back on the calendar.

Indeed it will - aside from the usual interruptions due to other commitments like [spits] work.

You know, we should probably remove this off topic discussion from this thread...

Well, we're done now anyway - Nick will let us know on Thursday about when he wants to run his game, and we can get input for Laurence about when he will next be running his game so it will all fit together nicely :)

Oh, and just so this is more On-Topic:

Human Clr1/Mnk7, follower of Our Lady Fortune, Lady Fayola

Lady Fayola
A dedicated nurse who was attributed with the recovery of numerous leaders and warriors thought to be beyond the reach of typical medicine of the time. She is worshiped by chirurgeons and healers. Also often worshiped by gamblers due to the tendency among the troops to place bets amongst themselves against her in cases where her patient was near death; in the end this became almost ritualistic as all her patients survived no matter what injuries had been sustained. Known by followers variously as Lady Fayola, Our Lady Fortune or simply the Lady.

Hmmmmm - I still need to sort out my character for this game. Planning on doing that tonight, if there is nothing going on at the club...

The plan may well now be to make something from scratch instead - so could I ask all the other players to please briefly sound-off what you are all playing/planning to play, so I can make sure I'll be filling a useful gap in the party?

Ta!
