Not bored with him per se, but he doesn't really have any reason to continue once the situation vis-a-vis getting the cargo back to Grenabychi is completed. Assuming that he's anywhere near as rich as the wealth-by-level should have him at level 4, it's far more likely that he'll retire comfortably and watch over a village somewhere, and perhaps train up a few apprentices or something.

Become a Cleric of Dio following the Sect of the Cosmos, take the Magic Domain, and use a Wand of True Strike.
The Magic Domain opens up all wizard's magic items to you. You'll be able to use wands and scrolls and all that stuff, and you get a bunch of good spells.

however would it not be difficult charging holding a lance,shield and using a wand?

Presumably you'd need to have a hand free to brandish the small archery target needed to cast True Strike anyway (the arcane spell focus), so there's no difference between holding a wand and holding the focus.

Unless it's ruled that you can just display the focus as a brooch or something and that's enough to cast the spell with. (I've never really asked with Jon and his divine focus, because he uses a buckler and not a shield, which specifically leaves his hand free to do things like brandish foci, hold weaponry and the like)
