Now Im not sure what to put my next level into.
Nathaniel Hawke
At present he is a second level holy knight, however I think its clear that we need more healing characters than combat which sefu and elanor have covered :P
My plan is to becoem a cleric of dio with healing& protection as my dieties. However I was thinking ould it be feasable to take a level in sorceror ? my charisma at 13 is high enough and I this would give me the spells like true strike which would allow me to ditch my attack bonus for more damge when charging (powerattack)
so what do you guys think ?

It's entirely your choice, of course, but my advice would be to go for the level in cleric. We need healing, and that's what your character is already on the path to anyway. It makes more sense, both in character and out of character.

A charisma of 13, while high enough to cast a few sorceror spells, is not really high enough to make it worth doing much more with the sorceror class than what you've just described - and as you already said, Sefu and Eleanor fill that gap quite nicely at the moment.

We also have Qualon and Finlandia as dedicated magic casters, meaning this party is already a bit mage heavy.

On the face of it, it's a good idea, but if you do go sorcerer it'll be a while before you get any healing powers. On the other hand, if you dip into cleric first, then take a level of sorcerer before carrying on with cleric I can't see a problem with that, and you'll hardly notice the missing point of ataack bonus.

Hmmmm - true strike is good, but I'd say having a balanced party is better.

And true strike is only good for one attack at a time - with a charisma of 13, how many of those would you get per day?

I guess healing will be more imediately useful in comparison to true strike which certain people can do rather well anywho

Yup, and as Ninje said, there would be nothing to stop you dipping into Sorceror next time, or further down the line.

And in the meantime - potions!

Four per day - 3 base allowance + 1 for charisma bonus.

Hmmm - better than I was thinking, actually. But then there is the action you'd have to spend in the middle of a fight to cast it. Once you're in the thick of it and being threatened, you have to start making concentration checks to get the spell off, or avoid attacks of opportunity, etc.
And if you get hit and distracted while trying to cast, that's it: spell gone, zero benefits, loss of HP.

I should probably point out that once negotiations with Alastair have finished, Jon will be retiring and taking his 2d8+5 HP/day of healing with him. His replacement may or may not be bringing any healing with him/her/it when he/she/it arrives, depending on how things work out, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Druids can heal, but not nearly as well as a cleric with the Healing domain.
