Another one from my big bag of attempts to let people play with the boundaries of their classes - let me know what you think, please.

"Featy goodness"
Blinding Aura of Faith
Pre-req: Knowledge (religion) 2 ranks OR
Cleric level 1 OR
Paladin level 1

The power of your faith is tangible. You can make a declaration of your faith as a free action. Upon doing so, you emit an aura (as the cleric or paladin ability) as a paladin of three levels lower than your character level (minimum 1, or your actual cleric or paladin level, whichever is higher) and impede the ability of undead to approach you. You make a turn check as a cleric of your level, but any undead that are turned instead take a -1 penalty to melee attack and damage rolls against you and anyone within five feet. This effect can be used for up to 10 rounds/day, which need not be consecutive. This effect is not affected by any domains or feats that affect Turn Undead

As you might have guessed, this should work like a very much weakened version of Turn Undead meets Protection From Evil and provide a little boost to prospective undead hunters. Because it's not the same as Turn undead, it should even be useful to Clerics and Paladins without being overpowered.

The reasoning behind this feat is that in movies, anyone with faith can wave a cross around to drive off a vampire without having to be a priest, so a little bit of faith should prove beneficial in D&D too.

So.... just to clarify:

A non-Cleric or Paladin would only be able to do this at 4th level or above, but Clerics or Paladins can take it from 1st level? That seems to be what is suggested by the sentence below, but I might be getting confused?

I think anybody can do it at any level, but it gets better if you are a paladin or cleric, or when you're higher level. That's how I read it anyway.

Ok, to clarify then:

Look at the PHB. Clerics and Paladins give off an aura of their alignment that affects Detect Good/Evil/Cookies. This ability is similar to that, but functions as the highest of either:
your cleric/paladin level(s),
a level 1 paladin, or;
a paladin of three levels lower than your character level.

Additionally, you get the ability to make a turn check when you are emitting this aura (using your character level as your effective cleric level for this check). Any undead that would have been turned are not actually turned, but instead are subject to a -1 attack and damage penalty against you and anyone else within five feet of you. This penalty lasts till you stop using the aura.

Anyone can take this at level 1, but if you aren't a cleric or paladin, you need to buy 2 ranks of Knowledge(religion) to do so.

It's already in the rules.

Detect Cookies (Ex):
By concentrating for a standard action, you discern the presence of any cookies (including biscuits) within range. If you maintain your concentration for a further full round, you can determine the number and relative power of the cookies. In the subsequent round of concentration, you may determine the location of the cookies.
Range: Touch
