I would imagine it would be alright, as long as Robin also has the official cards/book to back up his stats.

Yes, all the cards are in a folder thingy so I can mark damage etc... just the def / arm and buffs in a ready reckoner table that I can look them up immediately rather than waste time adding it up every time.

Time will be my biggest hurdle next sat

Don't forget that you can pause your clock for things like opponent calculating their defense

Looks like a fun (read: scary for opponent) list, and with nicely painted models. Should be a good day.

Hoarluk surveyed the battlefield, across the open ground stood the small figure of Adeptis Rahn, the point eared spell slinger had bought with him a Sphynx and a Pheonix, additionally he had an arcanist, a unit of sentinels with a soulless escourt, 2 Mage hunter assassins and a unit of house shyeel battle mages.

There would be no sublety to this, no artifacts to defend, this was to the death.. To that end, the elves burst forward at unnatural speed, crossing half almost half the distance before the trollbloods had even a chance to react.

Doomy ordered his troops into their defensive formation and moved forward at Mulgs speed ... not much of a surge seeing as the big guy is carrying a mountain, buffs in place, The old shaman prepared to receive the Scyrahns.

The battle mages killed Alten and moved ready for a close strike next turn, Rahn telekenised Mulg through the Pheonix.

Mulg then turned back around walked up to the Pheonix, and wrecked it....

Doomy Goaded him into attacking the sentinals and he killed 2, the Brick shifted to re-incorporate The Giant troll and the Whiteskins prepared for the followup retribution (literally)

In the following combat The Sentinals and 1 assassin reduced Mulg to 1 life point.. Rahn in his disgust moved into spell range to show the Combat specialists how its done and Shooting Mulg in combat behind a wall proved too tricky a target.

Sphynx attempted to kill the mauler hurting it badly but not ending its life

In the subsequent turn Doomy pops his feat, casts Rage on the Earthbourne and Wild aggression (after Mulg uses it to kill 6 sentinals) The earthbourne tramples through the Arcanist (killing him) to Attack Rahn

1 hit is all it took.

Hoarluk looks on, and realises He'd bought his 'A' game to the warm up party... Me thinks the Ret will have their number come Saturday when it counts ;)

Doom bringer ventured to MK today to compete at tyr.. a human held tournament consisting of 4 games.

The first game was against ekreoss... menoth infantry spam... He ran across the table at me and I (not knowing how much ranged they had and being scared) bricked up turn 1 (a MASSIVE mistake I would not take in subsequent games) He had a unit he gave tough to and the ability that when a model dies the model killing it is knocked over. He lined this unit up with a full run turn 2 and tarpitted me way short of the control points. I knocked all 3 beasts down (due to a complete lack of options) and he assassinated Doomy. Crushing defeat in a mere 35 minutes

Fair to say, my confidence was rocked.

Game 2 saw me at the bottom table facing a local Legion player. Absylonia with an Archangel and infantry

Protecting 2 sides of the table with my list was ..... tricky, in the end I sent the stone unit and alten over to defend "my" control point, and Doomy the beasts and Janissa went to compete for his... the hope the unit could hold on long enough for me to gain a foot hold on his and gain the extra points.... Kill box saw me lose 2 points turn 2 as I didn't know I had to be 14" in from the table side .. (no where was this written down... but then I also didn't ask, just thought I had to advance to be safe)

However, pop feat and slingshot Mulg into Archangel, 2 initals and 4 fury saw the Big dragonkin die... Mauler bogged down legionairres for 2 points (the stone unit was holding up very well) next turn saw Mulg trample a spawned shredder and a shepherd(?) into Absy and 1 shot the warcaster.

Game 3 was a familiar game vs a familiar Cygnar opponent, we tossed a coin for his caster and pHayley came to the field.

I made rapid progress into the control zone turn 2 with Doomy (and 3 big bad beasts) to grab 2 early CP's. They proved too difficult to shift. Highlight for me would have to be refuge advancing into Alexia Ciannor (while she was stacked full of souls) and slaughtering her. Hayley was forced to advance and attempt to assassinate Doomy, this proved fruitless and she died for her efforts to a buffed up Mauler.

Game 4

To and Fro Vs the BB commish's Cryx. His ignoring of the scenario in his continued attempts to Kill Doombringer would cost him in a game he could have probably comfortably won... but he really wanted to just Kill the caster :D

Alten was great from the start, 11 damage turn 1 to his right flank lightJack / node (insert name here) Doomy and Mulg twice cleared that control point for 3 points before we ran out of time, Doomy clinging onto life and soaking up Arc node shots and ghost shots from the Harrower. He was impossible to avoid so the old boy just took it on the chin proving wrong those who say he's a squishy caster.

many thanks to my opponents Niall, Alistair, Jack and Matt for 4 great games, thanks to Barry and ian for a very well organised Tourney.

A massive shock result (especially after the crushing defeat of game 1) saw me place 4th! 8)

Killbox rules are contained with the SR2013 rules. At the top of each scenario it has what special rules are included.

Sorry that you wasn't aware of killbox being in effect. I just assume most people know of it. You cant be completely within 14" of any board edge from the end of your turn 2, otherwise you give away 2 CPs. Its better than SR2012 Killbox which was instant death.
Its not an effect that you normally play in a scenario from the main rules but it was added into steamroller rules to stop caster sitting at the back of the table and blasting your opponent off the board. This also made people look into mid range casters as a more viable option.

Most players only make the Killbox mistake once :)

Cheers

Barrie

No problems, I knew killbox was in effect I just assumed it meant I had to advance

As I said... I didn't ask for clarification, it just made up my mind to slingshot Mulg at Absylonia :)
