Game 4. Gobbos, where do I even start :D

Gobbos wouldnt normally be too big a problem. However when its against Matt and on astrogranite it becomes somewhat more tricky :D

As it was 11 v 15 (not all at once :D even the commish cant get away with that) I crossed my fingers hoping to win the toss, I didnt and the gobbos would and did get a crack at first blood. Matt spent a whil clearing a path for a blitz on the rat ogre with a chainsaw. Nice hit and down he went. Not really sure what happened after that but a mutliplayer foul saw him off the KO box for a rest and not coming out until 2nd half :D

It was a bone cruncer of a game. Both sides down numbers. Havingplayed undead for many seasons defending with 5 was new :D

2-2 was a good result in the end for the skaven as a pitch clearenece at one point seemed to be slowly heading my way.

Got 2 skills from the game and maximum cash but unfortunatly that has been blown on replacing a dead blitzer.

Learnt that i need to be more aggressive when ball hunting and need to set up wider to prevent "flood around"

Sticking with the team build so 1st skill blitzer took guard as I want relaiable support piece and a lino took wrestle.

the rat ogre with AV9 is shaping up nice and he is only 6 pts from a second skill

Thirteen Sons were up next.

A truly painful game for Mike. No sniff of funny handshakes this time. It was a game we both wanted to win.

The Thirteen Sons dice showed their intent after the first couple of rolls. A few pushes on rats followed by a triple skull and a both down skull set the bar.

It didnt get much better for the Sons. The Thro Ra despatched to the dug out by a big hot from the rat Ogre turn 2 or 3.

AG2 no sure hands cost the Sons 4 touchdowns. I really saw the monsters that Gutter Runners can be in this game. I was more aggressive at "hunting the ball" following advice form Matt after my last game. To be fair the Gutter Runners when going for the ball didnt seem able to roll lower than a 4 which made it deceptively easy. One ball steal took 6 maybe 7 rolls, with it being something along the lines of, 3+,4+,3+,2+,3+,2+ and 3+. A set of rolls that i could only have dreamed about last season.

The MV 9 Ag 4 is a killer combo when chasing dropped balls.

Felt I played a little better this game, set up wider, aggressively hunted the ball. Cant see me being that lucky again. And I hope that it does not swing back the other way next game as I have Big Mo and his Lizards.

Both Gutter Runners skilled. Looking to develop a ball hunter so will take wrestle as first skill on Morgan. Still to decicde on second skill on Bonnet.

Personally I would go Side Step or Sure Hands on the Blodger.

take something that gives u a free reroll, catch or sure hands depending on what your style of play is. side step is a great skill though and is always a fun one :)

Side-step as he's presumably one that's going down the scoring route.

Big Mo and his Lizards next. With a round event we both would have liked against anyone apart from each other (I smell goblin again :D )

Skills to chose on gutter runners. Tackle would be the choice if I wasn't keeping them. So side step and wrestle. I also have cash. Enough for a third gutter runner and a lineman. This gives big Mo inducements but players are better than inducement ?

Third gutter runner is easily worth it, linerat is a matter of balancing the next game vs saving for the fourth runner
