Fixed. Problem was to do with the changes I made to the old site to add the Halfling Lineman/Catcher.

An odd one for you Lee, while looking through old teams (interested in an answer to Aarons question bout unbeaten runs) I noticed that Thesalik had been cut from the roster of the Slashers. They're retired so it's probably meaningless but I certainly never retired him so something has changed. There's usually talk about bringing teams back around the end of seasons and if I ever did want to bring back the Slashers it would only be for that one player. Any idea what's happened? And has it happened elsewhere?

Essentially it is about making the tables on the front page work properly. In order to make a players state change to "retired" they have to be fired from the roster (which I have been doing).
It would be possible to re hire them but this is just one of the complications that everyone is unaware of when they talk about bringing teams back.

This is a shame really, totally understand the reasoning but right now the only team that could influence my choice would be the Furballs. But the idea of having to start over with them sucks. It discourages pulling a Mattwhile and experimenting with different teams, yet encourages people to keep teams running longer, 6 and half a dozen really.

I massively disagree with you here. If returning to previously retired teams was allowed it only makes the decision to "Retire this team" easier because I can always go back to it if things don't work out. The decision to retire your team is always hard currently because you know you can never go back to them. If you retire them than that is it.

Whilst I appreciate that you don't think you were able to continue with the Furballs at the time you have (effectively) said yourself that this is a purely selfish decision of you wanting to play the Furballs rather than a decision that would improve the league. I put it to you that you should simply suck it up and remake them, they were only 2.5 seasons in and (to me at least) didn't have any stand out amazing players.

sorry I think there was a miss communication here, I meant the current ruling encourages people to keep their teams longer, as in I agree with u that being unable to reinstate teams encourages players to keep their teams active. Also have to agree with the fact that my wanting to reinstate the Furballs is purely a selfish one and my only argument for this is that I think most of us would succumb to this selfish desire to reinstate a team from the past or at least have the option.

Overall I completely agree with what it is u are saying, it seems like its too much of a pain for admin and where they might fit in the league if they were to be reinstated. Just something that comes up from time to time (granted mostly brought up by me :lots of love: )

Greetings amigo, I've noticed a problem... wizards are costed at 150k on the inducement page instead of 200k.

Thanks

Should be fixed now. Looks like we weren't set up for CRP+

So Ogres would have been the wrong cost.
As would half the Khemri team.

Speaking of Wizards costing 200,000gc, does that mean that the Dungeon Bowl winner causes them to be 400,000gc rather than 300,ooogc (ie: doubled cost to induce)?

OK Lee, should let you know that I can't seem to link in to the league website then. Tried http://www.bb.daventryvaulters.co.uk but it's not connecting me to it from here (local library). Is it operating atm or down for admin work tinkering?

I keep getting a timed out error message - site could not be accessed and refreshing the website address bar doesn't help either. Same with using the old www.level10.org/bloodbowl address link too.

Simply type "bb.daventryvaulters.co.uk" like the first post says. Nowhere does it say to type "www"

I did and also tried using the link in this thread but got no joy. Might be just the library system playing up - managed to access it from here at the gym.

OK, seems that it's definately something that my public library PCs are having trouble with - I keep getting the "connection timed out" error message after trying to access the league's new website. It's just not finding it apparently. I'm pretty sure it would say "website blocked" if it found it and wouldn't let me access it due to strange site limitations/restriction protocols (ie: Words like Blood or Games)
.

Arse!
