People who have dropped out have obviously dropped out for a reason so it makes no difference if you know who they are ;)

The only question is do you "need" to bring new people to the league to prevent your division from having an inoptimal number of players?

You are correct in that currently we have 24 so are at an ideal number of players however Pug voiced an interest (before disappearing again) and if he does sign up properly we will have 25 players which is far from ideal.

Gaz sent Pug a text yesterday and he said he was going to sign up, and possibly bring one or two with him, to share the petrol expense etc.

quick question on this subject sorry to bring it back up but it is relivant for the lower teams whilst there are 7 in our divisions. playoffs? whats the score with that then? do we still get our 10 games? i cant see why we couldnt. its important that the new starters especially get as many games in as possible to earn the SPP needed to progress. only curious is all on how it would work :)

A division of 7 players would get 6 games (against everyone in their league) then they would play the team above them and the team below (totaling 8 games each)

If someone has a 'bye' week why don't they gain anything (MVP, D6 Gold etc.)? Also why does a MNG carry over? Should the 'bye' game not be counted as an unplayed game?

I put all of the "Bye" weeks in at the beginning of the season so that I dont have to faff with the league constantly throughout.

As bye weeks are not matches I don't award anything for them and as they are not played then players must miss the next game that they would play in.

Who cares about your work load throughout the season? It's not as if you've got a cushy job with hardly anything to do........... :lots of love:

27 Teams total

11 Teams in the first division each playing the other 10 teams = Everyone playing a season of 10 games
8 teams in Division 2 & 3 = Everyone playing 7 Games then one game agaisnt the person above them and one against the person below them in the league = 9 Games for each player

How does the player who's top of division 2 play the person above him?

If things stick at 27 teams, then Division breakup could be as follows:

Div 1: 6 Teams (10 Games - play each other twice)
Div 2: 6 Teams (10 Games - play each other twice)
Div 3: 6 Teams (10 Games - play each other twice)
Div 4: 9 Teams (8 Games - play each other once)

This effects the fewest number of teams, and also means that drop-outs (historically most likely to occur in Div 4) will effect the fewest number of players.

I like this idea.

Lee's system does mean that 8 teams lose 1 game each.

The other way of doing it means that 8 teams lose 2 games each.

Lee's way is better.

He wraps around and plays the person in last place, its the reward for being top of the division when going in to the playoffs.

Still not 10 league games though.......... :(

a division of 7 where I play 6 games over 6 months is frankly rubbish. I can play that many games in one weekend at a tournament. Watching others play ten games in one season would feel unfair.
The number of games was massively important to you two weeks ago.

It is. I played at the MKWS where it was five games over like eight months. Eight or nine games is a lot better than six.
I personally don't like the fact that teams who don't deserve to be in division 1 would be there. I think wherever possible you should keep divisions to six teams. Stuart's idea allowed that, even though from a personal point of view I would miss out on one game.

You would miss 2 games.

9 People playing each other once play 8 games in a season. However it takes 3 rounds for playoffs to take place (Hence a division size of 8 being better)
