Really dislike the idea of massive 11 player divisions. As much as I like being the underdog and playing seasoned teams and coaches- I really wouldn't be up for getting record for a season and learning nothing

To be fair Gazza has earnt his promotion so you can't deny him his shot at it. :lots of love:

he hasn't yet... he has me to play yet, if he can't beat me he isn't worth the first division.

But you aren't worth the first division anymore because you got relegated. So how is that a test? :lots of love:

If you are playing seasoned coaches and learning nothing your playing the wrong coaches.

I personally really like the thought of playing in the 11 man league... bigger diversity gives me more chances to learn... and its only fair to let 10 people get a cricket score against me rather than the same 5 twice :)

of course I will play and (hopefully) learn either way so it doesnt make that much difference i guess... getting to play someone like rayner twice in a season also has strong appeal.

so in conclusion.... it doesnt really matter too much i guess .... so long as i can play :D

I think ultimately it comes down to this for most of us.

I'd not really considered the plus side of 11 man divisions as I like the rivalry that builds up playing 2 games against the same coaches in a season, the diversity is a big plus.

definatly get to know the players better. but i hear u on this i mean i hadnt really spoken to Bob or Gazza before dungeonbowl and only seen Garry, craig and Norm actually play a game before that so i got to know a few more people and learn some new play styles while i was at it. and that especially for new players would be a great bonus. i guess on the plus side with such large divisions we will be playing with a few of the same teams/players due to the fact that only a few of us would be promoted, leaving the majority to face off for another season. so rivalries will still develop just over a longer period of time :)

There's no accounting for taste  :D

I'm totally on board with the diversity thing, one of the plusses of the MK league when I played in it way back in the day was that I got to meet a large number of the cluib through a long schedule. My point previously was merely that the top division being the largest of the lot seems odd, but maybe that's being coloured by real life examples. That is not personal bias for the top division as I'll be at the bottom of the pile again soon, just seems if there's a pyramid structure the top should be the smaller end imo.

lots of love best thing sed on here.

Its very easy to try and fix something and just forget that we are lucky to have what we have. As always thanks lee for sorting it all and at least letting us discuss what we think on here. I'll play what ever you decide.

I also would love to play you :p thou i know thats only going to happen if i get a lucky cup draw.

As for the top division being smaller... its only done that way in our football leagues to allow for longer FA cup runs and international breaks etc :P

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, a division of 7 where I play 6 games over 6 months is frankly rubbish. I can play that many games in one weekend at a tournament. Watching others play ten games in one season would feel unfair.

It's ok. Lee and I have hammered out a system that gives a league of 7 coaches 8 games over 10 rounds that is fair. Or at least mostly fair :)

Not ideal, but if were stuck with a 7 then this is a way to make it work.

Now you know how the divisions will break down you could always look for some new recruits to bump your division up to a better number of players?

Currently there's 24 signed up, why would I look for more recruits?

If you told us exactly who had signed up, maybe then I'd know who to ask
