Has anyone seen good rules for including the concept of a draft in BB?

I think the nfl draft is a great idea and adds an interesting mechanic, I'm not trying to introduce this for next season (there's enough changes planned for that already) but just curious if anything has been tried already.

I do remember seeing something in the TFF house rules/new concepts as part of someone else's league rules that used humans only. But I couldn't see a way to make a draft work unless every team was the same race.

I was thinking of a couple of alternatives:

Allow generic builds (so you may be trying to draft a blitzer with mighty blow already, or a catcher with jump up and sprint). I'm less keen on this as it avoids the flavour of specific players and there are some seasons where teams just don't see things they need in the draft so have to work with what's available rather than what's desired. Plus not all teams fit the positional norm (hello Orges, Vamps, etc..).

Create enough variety of players so that teams have a few options each, the downside with this is that if there's no crossover between teams then the competition element is removed. Skaven are on a couple of teams, Humans could possibly be stretched to a few but most are pretty restricted.
