I'd like to play again, but I would also understand if people who've been playing since the start are getting a bit werewolf'd out.

I'm glad you liked the Wolfkin role, Pete - it's one we have in our other game, except because we're not wolves it's called the Hench Ducky...I'm not sure why. But there's almost always a ducky in our rounds.

Another thing we have is that dead people return as ghosts - they cannot vote, but they can still talk (usually in colour to distinguish them from live players) - which makes the Seer's last vision much more powerful, and also means that people who consistently get munched first for being the most active can still actually play.

I'd be interested in adding this rule but only allowing ghosts to talk during the night phase (they still get no vote privilages). Obviously this would mean having full (but still shorter) night phases so they could debate what they have read.

damn, I had it pretty much, trouble is [turns on grumble] - Everytime a new game starts the goal posts change, its kinda like playing a 9 year old at a game where they make up the rules as they go along. I mean how many players actually knew this could exist? His job, to look suspicious and get hanged! well.... thats not hard when you have no idea that could be a possibility.

I think that might be overdoing it, but usually when i play a game i know all the rules.... I'm a rules studier, thats how I always play, but when you dont know them.....

Well, I was following the previous rounds' examples of only announcing the roles as they were discovered. We didn't know there was a Fool as a possibility in the first round, or a Priest or a Magic User, or a Diseased villager, and so on.

There are a LOT of possible roles, if you go by the wikipedia page. I don't mind listing what roles are in the round if I host again, but I don't know if it's standard procedure for the game, I think it's meant to be secret. (It isn't announced in the version I play; people have just been playing so long that they "know" the standard roles and make assumptions based on them. But we've been playing for a loooong time.)

My ability to contribute as a player has become somewhat diminished due to stuff that's going on for me at the moment, so I'll sit out the next one. However I could manage to run one if no one else wants a turn, as after the initial setup that only requires a couple of checks a day to keep up with votes and answer any PMs.
I'd be happy to go with whatever house rules the group decides on beforehand.
