Was going to ask if anyone was looking at going any of the loyalist legions/chapters for this?

I read a good short story years ago about a lone Carnifex........

Better make them corridors wide ones paulus! :lots of love:

First 12inch section (no1 of 12) of the scenery is ready for assembly, making it so certain areas are only accesible to smaller troops with larger corridors suitable for a lone dreadnought/carnifex if a player decides they want to play that way! Have so many ideas for this its hard to explain in one post but, expect armouries, med bays, maintenace tunnels, a bridge, secret rooms, defense lasers and even a cargo bay with a land raider; all with various bonuses, pick ups and special actions.

And to make it different each time, tiles will be interchangeable wit secretly drawn primary and secondary missions for all players.

It'll be 2-6 player 40k/necromunda hybrid with a lot more fun.....

But it is going to be a couple of month in the making giving you all time to choose a kill team/change your mind buy a new one paint it and eventually play.

I'm liking the sound of this. Why don't we create our own version of this rather than a pre created idea? We could really story it up.

I've got enough CSM for a kill team but I'd add to (some nice gonks about), I've some fantastic Dark Eldar ready with more to do but am also thinking of going totally loyal with Ultramarines. (Never done Ultramarines before ever!)
What to do....?

Is everyone still thinking of going heresy-era? Not that it matters... There's plenty if timey-wimey, wormhole, time vortex type storylines that we could incorporate! :lots of love:

Warp travel is indeed a most mercurial of things similar it seems to my choice of kill team . The more I think about it the more ideas I like. Even Guard (or this Astra Militarium nonsense if I'm being accurate) appeal. Elite guardsmen on black ops missions? All kinds of awesome.
That said the Astartes for me embody kill team. Small team of elite warriors hand picked to neutralise a threat, none of this 50 gretchin horde list ideas. And I do love the Forgeworld preheresy stuff..... But a death watch multi chapter list sounds great..... I could be at this a long time.... Although Pre-heresy Imperial Fists are currently ahead by a nose.

Funnily enough I've been converting up an Inquisitorial Warband to use with Inquisitor 28mm as a break from painting my Bolt Action before this Kill-team greatness raised its head!
