Have you checked at the forums at Dakka Dakka at all Random? There's some amazing '=I=munda' threads on there. I got really interested in it a few years ago but never got around to actually putting anything together.

Speaking of which... :wink:

Ordered parts for my first kill team. I'm going to make a classic Deathwatch Kill-team, if we're using 6th ed rules then I'll use them as Sternguard. The rules seem to fit (multiple ammo types etc), as long as they don't face a horde style kill team (given how the horde style broke kill team last time that goes for most I suspect) they should be fun.

SWEET!
think its gonna need a bit of playtesting but if need be we can limit the hordes to an extent;
The idea is just to have fun, not get tabled so we will probaly try to balance a few things out without affecting the overall flavour!

It's all good either way I'm down for helping playtest. Just sweet talked my local GW manager into letting have a root in his bit box (not a euphemism) for a few things to make each marine have hints of his parent chapter so by the end of the weekend they should all be built and ready for paint.

Way.. way.. way back in the day, when the time came to conclude campaigns (in necromunda this was but the principle remains) we used to put all our gangs at one end of a map and swamp the other end with wave after wave of scarier 'nid invasion... until the inevitable. That's the use of hordes, not to break the system, to end it altogether :D

I approve of this! I played a huge 40k 10,000pt multilayer game at Warhammer World with my old Imperial Guard army using never ending swarm rules. It stands out as one of the best games I've ever played.

we used to start with gaunts, then gargoyles
then move onto stealers and lictors
then warriors
then carnifex and tyrants

No photo's 'cos it's dark and they won't come out properly, but...

... I've just finished my first World Eater! Can I just say that for the first time in a loooong time I'm impressed with a GW product. Just used their 'Blood for the Blood God' technical paint and it actually does what they say it does. In this case produce a rather nice 'blood' effect. Funny that! :wink: :lots of love:
