They look pretty cool mate, but shrinking them to 300 x 225 pixels makes it pretty hard to see properly ;)

I'd say they look good enough to hold up under the scrutiny of camera (praise indeed)

let us have a good look 8)

Nearly(ish) finished exam marking and realised I've neglected putting lots of love and care into the selection of my team due to having had no life for 4 weeks. So....from experience how is it looking in terms of characters vs grunts? Is it worth investing a few points in a decent wrecking ball or do they die too quick? Worth bearing in mind I've played 4 games of 40k, ever, starting in 1995...

Flamers and templates work very well in the confined spaces of the ship. dont forget something to reliably open doors, it has been said the best kill team was 8 elite guys kicking hide with punch and pace. I would say 23 gribblies just fall over each other and stall the advance (not something marines could contemplate me thinks) even with guard i'm taking 2 ogryns and a sentinel to get the numbers down and provide some punch!

Wolves have options, but bigger is better

Depends how you play, but a decent leader with either terminator armour or the 15pt armour of alcatricy upgrade is a must. Especially with garys nasty melta weapons and dcannons, its saved my leader several times. If your taking heavy weapons suspensors are a must. Take a door opener and maybe a flamer but the rest of the team are pretty much meatsheilds.
Just be warned if you waste too many points on a single model they will get targeted first, just ask my assault cannon terminator(oh thats right you cant, cheers gary! )

Can wolves get vanguard vets?

Skyclaws are most definatley not the same

As for terminator armour, thats great almost for the 5+ invulnerable save alone, there may well be a lot of plasma weaponry etc that negates the 2+ normal save (or d-cannon /cough).

If i had some BS 4 guys i would definatley field a melta gun... melts doors and terminators alike :D.

But i dont so multiple shots was the way i went instead.

I have no idea what the wolves can have so i was just giving a generic marine type setup, im sure the sons of russ arnt that far away from the norm, maybe a little hairier and called something else but marines none the less!

in the wolf fluff the "tacticals" are the veterans and the assault marines are the rookies

scouts are elite
