Anychance we can set up some Sub Forums please

i.e.

Card Games
    Magic: the Gathering
    Pokemon
    Yu-Gi-Oh!
    Naruto
    Fluxx
    Killer Bunnies
    Other

These sub forums are not visable from the Main Page of the Forum only once you enter the relevant caegory.

This means that I will be able to subscribe to forum notifications for cardgames that I play and wont get spammed about games that I dont.

This could also be done for the relevant RPG Types in the RPG forums ans again for the Table Top gaming forums (Warhammer, Warmachine/Hordes, BattleTech).

It would also make manually searching the forums for a particular post a little easier.

Thanks.

I think that at least having a separate That Card Licking Game (sub) forum would be a good idea. There aren't that many posts on the other card games, but when there are, they kind of get lost among the That Card Licking Game.

So maybe General Card Games and Magic: The Gathering?

Similarly, we could do with a D&D / others split in the RPG section.

I imagined sub forums to be more like a tool used to keep specific chat apart from the normal chat. One example being the Gaultria sub forum I have created as a test. Other ongoing campaigns could have their own forums also to keep in-game chat away from people who don't care.

I think that by having tens of sub forums for each individual game would divide the chat too much, but since I make a point of keeping up with every thread for mod purposes I don't know how annoying it is too see replies on threads I don't care about - but I also only subscribe to a certain few threads that I'm actually watching so don't get hundreds of email notifications.

Since Magic is quite a large part of card chat then it could make sense for it to have its own forum and have the rest of the card chat in the main forum.

More opinions?

I was mainly thinking that it would enable people to subscribe to whole forums so that they get the New Topic notification for Subjects that they are interested in.

i.e. I would always want to be notified about the D20 Fusion with every new thread and post notification being sent to me. Currently I am unable to subscribe to new thread notifications in the RPG forum because I will be notified about every new thread, even for games that I dont play or wish to play in.

I beleive there is an option within the Forum settings to make all active posts of a Sub Forum appear in the Parent forum also. That might be worth looking at?

You can subscribe to individual threads, of course (see attached pic).

Yeah but what if someone creates a new thread about a game such as "Should we continue this game?"

Unless I checked the forums everyday (Before you say anything, I know :P) I might not find out about that thread in time to give my opinion.
