Rhyas, the Sigil of Everblight, looked at the trio of recently spawned monstrosities and felt a small giggle escape from the side of her mouth. They were raring to get to the enemy and tear them limb from limb. The forests around her whistled as the wind fought to push itself through the leaves. The enemy was close. Their death would be swift and painful.

Rhyas telepathically signalled the start of the hunt to her Carnivean, Ravagore and Scythean and they ran forward, sensing where the enemy were. Rhyas followed, and took up position near the tree-line.

The enemy moved into sight. The beasts could no longer be restrained by the will of Rhyas and they charged to engage the enemy. Battle was swift and bloody. Rhyas spotted the enemy Warcaster, and saw that he was unprotected from the Carnivean tearing through the forest.

With a quick mental jolt she changed the direction of the Carnivean and he bulldozed into the metallic creation that passed for a pale imitation of her pets. He charged into the Warjack, smashing apart it's cortex and the paper-thin protection it had with one blow. The Carnivean then vanished in a cloud of smoke, before reappearing seconds later behind the Warjack. The enemy Warcaster was now within range of powerful arms of the Carnivean. With a couple of blows the Warcaster was no longer moving.

The enemy had been torn apart within minutes. Rhyas was proud, but also a little disappointed. Her twin sister Saeryn was expected to arrive in the next few days, and she now had no new story to recount to her. She would have to rectify this situation shortly.

They sure do! All us lesser factions just have to give them less room to cheat in.

I'm thinking Purple skin with Orange plating, but that might change when I come to paint them.

Thagrosh, Prophet of Everblight was furious. They had not only out-manoeuvred his Monstrous Beauties, but had also put the pain on them in combat. Thagrosh had already had to revive a dead Scythean, long before the largest Troll had almost taken Thagrosh apart. He was lucky to have survived.

How had the albino Trolls been able to see through his Fog of War? Thagrosh would have to be a little smarter in future battles, and not rely on brawn to win through. He had been outwitted by the supposed dim-wits, and that thought actually scared him. He didn't like feeling fear, and he wasn't used to it. That was why the Dragon had originally chosen him.

Plans must be put into place before the next encounter, this time he would call upon the assistance of the Blighted Nyss to aid his plans. He could sacrifice their lives so that his Beasts could dictate the tides of battle. He also started thinking about how his Ravagore had been able to target the Troll magic user with ease, and wondered if he had enough blood stored to create another one before battle was upon them again...........

It did, but now it flows like the sickly honey running from a large spoon that's been lifted from the pot with too swift a motion. :lots of love:

He was having a panic attack. What if the Dragon found out? How could he not? Did he already know? Damn, Thagrosh was worried, and rightly so. The panic attack passed, at least enough to allow him the think.

After his loss to the Trollkin, he had thought that attacking the local fire fanatics would give him the confidence boost he required. How wrong he was. For a change from their normal attempts at combat, they were well drilled and definitely ready for battle. Their Warjacks had been solid as rocks, backed up by heavenly hymns emanating from the chorus and Kreoss had been a revelation. He had been lucky to escape, again. Thagrosh was remembering a tale of a long forgotten world in a long forgotten time where a Beastman Chieftain had forged the worst reputation possible - one of being unable to win a battle. How he had kept hold of his command for so long was still a mystery. Thagrosh wondered if he would be remembered in similar veins.

Still he had bigger worries than reputations to presently worry about. If he was to continue his run of 'form' for too long, Everblight wouldn't put up with it. He would be found out eventually. He was supposed to be His Prophet, and had designs on being The Messiah. He was closer to being being called the Useless before being called the Messiah. Suddenly his heart started pumping faster and the panic set in again...........

Lylyth was feeling content. She had history with Baldur, and was glad to put him in his place. Choosing to attack him when he was distracted by the Menoth fanatics was a stroke of genius, in her humble opinion of course. He may be some hippy who could teleport between forests, but he wasn't able to forsee the ambush she had planned.

It started with an arrow. It flew true and straight. That was the signal for her two Ravagores to open fire with their corrosive breath weapons. The first beast hit the druids just as the last of the group was making their way into the undergrowth. He was vapourised instantly, just like his colleagues who were stood too close to him. The beasts that had accompanied Baldur were far too pre-occupied with the mechanical Warjacks of the religious ones, to help protect him or his druids.

Eventually Lylyth's beasts had finished off the pack of druids and had rounded on Baldur, taking him to within an inch of his life before he teleported off, to some nearby forest no doubt. To finally end the life of her foe she was going to have to plan ahead for when the coward made his retreat. More beasts would probably be the answer. At that thought Lylyth let out a small laugh before her mind wandered to if Thagrosh had been present, would he have enjoyed her wit? She was certain he would have. She then blushed and tried to re-focus on her tasks at hand.
